I Just Won an Auction, What Now?

First, if you have come here because you just won an auction, Congratulations!

Nothing makes us happier than you getting your hands on the merchandise you are after! Now lets take a look at how to make this process smooth and easy. Now, there are two ways to know you have A. won your item, B. confirm your win and then C. make your payment to complete the transaction and receive your winnings!

Method 1. You Win While Online & In the Action

If you are playing online and you are the highest bidder when the final seconds runs down, the auction will display You Have Won! Then you simply click the Checkout Button to be automatically transferred to a page where you must confirm your win.

Once you have confirmed your win, this page will guide you through the next steps. You will have the opportunity to redeem any vouchers you may have before you pay the final amount.

We will also contact you via email to explain the step by step process.

Paying For the Item You have Won:

Payment is just as easy as it was to purchase your Bid Packs!
You can pay via PayPal, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express & BitCoin.
Please make sure that you pay within 7 days of the end of the auction.
We will confirm your payment via e-mail and arrange for the item to be shipped to you.

Method 2. You Win When You are NOT Online

If your not online or bidding on another item and dont realize you have won, an email will be sent with the winning information as well as a Step by Step Guide on what to do next. You will also be notified in your My Account>My Dashboard Page under Won Auctions.

When Does an Auction End?

Each auction ends when the timer reaches zero on BidKnights servers.

Be aware that the auctions reside on servers that maybe thousands of miles from your location. The end of the auctions are based on the timers that reside on our servers, not on your computer. Even though the Internet is very fast, there are many things that could slow your bid down, (your internet connection, your browser, your internet provider, etc.) so please do not wait to the last minute to bid as it could cause you to lose the auction that you desire.

Why Does The Clock Reset?

Time is added to the clock whenever a bid is placed. This allows someone else the chance to bid if they want to. It is a lot like the Going once, Going twice, SOLD! approach of traditional auctions.

The amount of time added to the auction timer depends on the particular auction, and varies between 10, 15, or 20 seconds.

Auction Limits?

Are There Auction Limits?

To get everyone a good chance to win the cool merchandise that is up for bidding, BidKnight allows 60 wins in a 30 day period and 15 wins per 168 hours (week). Most of you will not even notice the limits during your time bidding and winning.

During Specific Events (Memorial Day, 4th July and Labor Day) there will be no limit auctions, so win as much as you want. Limits will be in place at midnight the next day after the event.

Ending Price vs Value Price?

What is the Difference Between the Auction Ending Price and the Value Price?

Auction End Price

The auction end price is the last bid amount for the auction item when the timer reaches zero. The last bidder is the winner and will purchase the auction item for that price.

Value Price

The value price of an item is the suggested retail price. If you decide to use the Buy Now feature, the value of the Real Bids you used in that particular auction will be applied to the value price.

Can I Rearrange Auctions?

Currently, you can not rearrange or pin any auctions but this convenient option is in the works at Bidknight.com as we are planning on having this feature in the next update of our software.

What Are Locked Auctions?

Locked Auctions are a BidKnight feature that decreases competition in auctions and allows bidders to win more easily. After a certain number of bids are placed, auctions will become locked and only bidders who have been actively participating will be able to continue placing bids, while all other bidders will be locked outIf you are locked out of an auction, you will know by the locked padlock symbol.

If you are able to bid in a Locked Auction, you will see the unlocked padlock symbol. This feature could apply to any BidKnight auctions.

What Causes Auctions To Lock?

After an auction price hits a certain level, auctions will lock out new bidders and this is a good thing because new bidders who havent been in the action cannot jump in at the last second.

I Do Not Want To Be Locked Out!

Locked Auctions will lock out bidders that have not bid for a while or havent invested much in the auction. But wait, we do this because it is a good thing to do!

After a certain number of bids are placed, auctions will become locked and only bidders who have been actively participating will be able to continue placing bids, while all other bidders will be locked out. That way, people wont be able to jump in at the last moments and gain advantage by letting the previously bidding players do all the work.

To avoid being locked out, maintain consistent participation in auctions because the amount of time since your last bid plays a role. Also, make sure and place a consistent stream of bids in the auction because the more bids you place, the less likely you will be locked out.
